Per-Oral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM) is a minimally invasive endoscopic myotomy to treat achalasia and esophageal motility disorders. It was introduced 10 years ago as an alternative endoscopic treatment to surgery with excellent patients outcome. On the 10th POEM Anniversary the one-day course will celebrate one of the most outstanding NOTES (Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery) procedure, the only routinely performed. The scientific programme includes cutting-edge POEM information presented from the perspective of world renowned Masters.
Participants will have the great opportunity to interact with the inventors of this procedure and to discuss with the Masters on how it is performed nowadays.
Presentations will combine basics, clinical practice as well as tips and trick to safely and successfully perform POEM procedure.
